Terms of Service

Language Monk provides online Spanish lessons and coaching calls delivered by our teachers and coaches, plus study materials, scheduled through our app.

Sessions are delivered remotely. Teacher and coach availability is offered on a first-come basis and is not guaranteed for any specific time.

You are responsible for the activity under your account and for keeping your password secure. You must provide accurate information and be old enough to enter a binding agreement in your jurisdiction.

You may not share, sell, or transfer your account or lesson credits to anyone else.

Packages are sold as lesson credits and/or coach-call credits. Credits are applied to your account after payment is confirmed.

Credits are valid for 1 year (365 days) from purchase. After that they expire and are no longer available to book.

Credits have no cash value except as described in our Refund Policy and are not transferable.

You book sessions from available times in the app. New students complete a Starter Sprint, including an intake call, before booking lessons; lessons are then booked with the teacher(s) your coach assigns to you.

You may reschedule or cancel a session through the app subject to availability. When a session is cancelled, the lesson credit used to book it is returned to your account.

Repeated no-shows may result in the forfeiture of the credit for the missed session, at our reasonable discretion.

Payments are processed securely by Stripe. Prices are shown in U.S. dollars and are charged at checkout. We do not store your full card details.

Refunds are handled under our Refund Policy.

Study materials, lesson content, and the Language Monk name and branding are owned by Language Monk and provided for your personal study only. You may not copy, redistribute, or resell them.

You agree to use the service lawfully and respectfully toward teachers, coaches, and staff. We may suspend or close accounts that abuse the service, others, or these terms.

The service is provided on an “as is” basis. We do not guarantee specific learning outcomes. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Language Monk is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the session or package at issue.

Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be limited under applicable law.

We may update these terms from time to time; material changes will be reflected by the effective date above. You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or end access for violations of these terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Language Monk operates, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
